Posty Crumbs lets people leave photos, videos, and stories pinned to real places. This page sets out our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), how anyone can report it to us, and what we do when they do.
The short version. Child sexual abuse material and any sexualisation of a minor are banned outright. There is no warning and no second chance: we remove the content, delete the account, and report to the authorities. Anyone can report this to us from inside the app or by email, and we treat those reports ahead of everything else.
What is not allowed
The following are prohibited on Posty Crumbs, without exception:
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form — photo, video, drawing, or generated image.
Sexualising a minor, including suggestive posing, captions, tags, or commentary about a child.
Grooming or solicitation — contacting a minor for sexual purposes, or asking a minor for images.
Trafficking, extortion, or sextortion involving a minor.
Off-platform links pointing to any of the above.
Accounts held by anyone under 18, which our terms do not permit.
How to report it
In the app. Every crumb, comment, and profile has a Report option in its menu, and you can report any chat message by pressing and holding it. Choose the reason that fits — Illegal activity or Nudity or sexual content — and add a note describing what you saw. You can also block the account from the same menu, which hides them from you immediately.
By email. Write to hello@postycrumbs.com. Put "child safety" in the subject line so it reaches us fast. You do not need an account to write to us. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
You can report anonymously, and we never tell the reported account who reported it.
What we do about it
We prioritise these reports above every other kind, and aim to act within 24 hours.
We remove the content as soon as it is confirmed, and preserve the evidence as the law requires.
We terminate the account permanently, and act on any other account we find belonging to the same person.
We report to the authorities. In the United States we report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), which relays to law enforcement. Elsewhere we report to the equivalent national body, and we cooperate with lawful requests.
What we do to prevent it
Photos dropped in public are screened automatically before they appear, and anything flagged is held for human review.
Reporting and blocking are built into every surface that shows someone else's content — the map, a crumb, a comment, a profile, a message.
Posty Crumbs is for adults. You must be 18 or over to create an account, and you confirm that when you sign up. Where we learn an account belongs to someone younger, we remove it.
We review our standards as the app changes, and update this page when they do.
